A Followup On BJ’s Brewhouse

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything and for that blog fans, I apologize. Time goes by so fast when you’re having fun!

I have so many pictures of places I’ve gone to eat at in my phone that I need to upload and just post little snippets about.

In the meantime, I must write a quick followup on BJ’s Brewhouse.

Slowest Service Ever In Wichita…………..hands down. I’ve gone back a handful of times since my very first outing in hopes of the service level improving. It hasn’t.

Stopped in once for a birthday party where one of my friends had call ahead seating reservations for the nine of us. We arrive and still waited an hour. That was forgivable I suppose as the place was extremely busy. To make matters worse, they had to split our group into two different tables. That’s forgivable too I guess. We all order our drinks and wait……….and wait……….order our food……….and wait. Finally we get some of our drinks but not all of them. One member of our party had to ask for our drink, another member received the wrong drink. It was probably a good thirty minutes until the drink orders were put in until the final drink was received. Add on top of that, the slow service on getting anything we needed. Then they messed up the food order. It was one of those nights where anything bad that could have happened……..happened. No apology to end our fantastic evening (sarcasm intended) at BJ’s Brewhouse.

One of my very close friends informed me his daughter went there and loved the food, liked the ambiance BJ’s provided but like my story, had horrible service. And it all doesn’t end there. I’ve had numerous people tweet me, e-mail me or just tell me to my face the horrible service they’ve had at BJ’s. As I’ve said earlier, I’ve been here numerous times and no time has the service been outstanding.

Maybe it’s because the menu is just too large, or they are understaffed but something would definitely have to change. I don’t intend on ever going back. There’s an Old Chicago just nearby I can stop by if I want a drink and some food.

Sorry BJ’s Brewhouse, you’ve been added to the “No Go List”. BJ's Brewhouse on Urbanspoon

  1. I hate hearing that! I've only been once, and it was busy, but the service was actually pretty good. We had about 9 people. We did call ahead and still waited 30 min past our reservation time, but after that BJ's did rather well. Good info though. Thanks for the review.

  2. Aug 2012… Just opened in july… Many many issues still to figure out.
2020 might have a completely different opinion on the restaurant!
Give another review to let the restaurant redeem itself!
