A brand-new food truck started this week in Wichita, and they were my latest stop on my 2016 Wichita Food Truck Tour.
Some of you may be familiar with the owner and their original truck in Wichita called Gaga’s Grub (reviewed here). Their second truck brings pasta on the go! It’s called Gaga’s Grub Lil Itlee.

Their menu is very simple. You get to choose your type of sauce red, white or a mix of both. Then it’s your choice of Chicken or Italian Sausage. Then you choose your “other stuff” from spinach, tomatoes, onion, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños, black olives, garlic, mozzarella, parmesan, and red crushed peppers.
If you go with just the pasta and sauce, it’s $6. Add in veggies, it’s $7. Add in meat or “howeavaya like it”, it’s $8.
My brother and I gave it a try on their first day in search for some delicious dinner. My brother ordered his with red sauce and I ordered mine with a mix of meats and mix of sauces. Both items were made right then and there and served within minutes.
The owner was back in the truck working and very engaging. He was a pleasure to talk with and showed lots of enthusiasm in what he was doing. That’s always a plus when someone loves what they do.
That love really carried over into the food.
My brother found his to be really good as did I. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, The sauce tasted homemade, the vegetables weren’t cooked to death as they still had some crunch. And my brother also noted, he didn’t skimp on the meat.
I brought my dinner over to my parents house to stop by and visit my niece and split part of my meal with her. She was quite the fan of the sausage. Her direct quote, “This is my favorite Uncle Eddy.” I believe she was referring to the sausage and not me.
Great value for all that we got in our $8 meal. This is a food truck we would recommend to everyone.
They are another great addition to the food truck fleet in Wichita.
