I don’t make it out to the west side often but when I do I make sure to try a new restaurant while I’m out that way. Sunday was no different when I met some friends up for what looks to be a rarity in west Wichita; Sunday Brunch Buffets.

The buffet runs $17.50 for adults, $7.50 for kids age 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.
Twelve is a casual upscale restaurant and bar in the former Shorty Small’s place. Twelve looked to be a major upgrade from Shorty’s in terms of ambiance and food. While ourĀ attire of sweat pants and t-shirts stuck out a smidge it wasn’t so bad that I felt out of place.
There was plenty of seating to go around inside Twelve and once we found our seats and placed our drink orders, we were off to grab some food:
Twelve certainly knocked it out of the park on quantity AND quality. The fruit was incredibly fresh and just a tremendous way to start our brunch outing. The prime rib was cooked rare which I think is the best way to have it. They had an wide assortment of your breakfast staples like eggs, eggs with cheese and ham, bacon, sausage, waffles…. you name it. There was shrimp and salmon. If you wanted to order eggs Benedict, pancakes or french toast you had to order it from your server.
The French toast was by far the best French toast we’ve ever had at any Sunday Brunch Buffet. It was topped with Blueberry Mascarpone which may have been the tastiest topping we’ve ever had on French toast. It was so good we ordered a second….and third order of it.
Then add in a couple three dollar mimosas and it was an even better brunch.
We’ve been to many Sunday Brunch Buffets around town and this was one of the better ones we’ve had; easily the best one on the west side of town.
At $17.50, you will get your moneys worth and find many items you’ll enjoy.
