Twinkies fans, there’s a big event coming your way this weekend.
It’s the 5th Annual Twinkies Festival in Emporia, KS held at the Lyon County Fairgrounds. The event takes place from 8am – 3:30pm and is hosted by the Emporia Area Chamber and Visitor’s Bureau and Hostess Brands.
It’s set to be a big family friendly event with set with a 5K walk/run, costume contests, coloring stations, carnival games (with a Twinkie toss), Twinkies eating contest, live music and more.
This year’s Twinkies festival is going to be the biggest one yet.
The 5K race starts the day at 8am and ends at 3:15pm with the Twinkie eating contest for children and adults. I wish they aired that on TV…..
