My best friend messaged me a while back asking if I heard of a place called Nancy’s. I never heard of it but after doing some research I remember that they serve food during events at the Cotillion. It didn’t dawn on me that they have their own restaurant in Maize called Nancy’s A-Maize-N Sandwiches. He suggested we try their breakfast so we made a stop over the weekend.

Nancy’s serves breakfast and lunch but for the purpose of this review, we stuck with just breakfast. You can find their menu here.
For breakfast, we had the Breakfast Plate which included bacon, eggs, potato, and we asked for pancakes instead. We also had a 1/2 order of deep-fried french toast. Both dishes were great. Granted the breakfast plate was very simple and basic, it was wonderful and just what we needed to start the day.
The true winner of breakfast (besides myself) was the deep-fried french toast. It had a slight crisp on the exterior but once you cut inside it was picture perfect french toast. We love trying out breakfast offerings that aren’t commonly found around town and this was one of them.
The dish my friend had was potatoes, eggs, toast, smothered in gravy with sausage and bacon crumbles on top. He loved it.
While the drive to Maize, KS wasn’t a quick one, we had a great time there. The service and food were impeccable. They have a separate lunch menu that I will now have to go back for.
