ABOUT THE OWNERS
Brian and Kendra have both spend the majority of their careers in the food service industry. Brian and his family moved to Wichita from Miami, Florida after Hurricane Andrew hit in the early 90’s and has spent  his career cooking and managing restaurants local and corporate restaurants in town. Kendra is a Wichita native and has lived here her entire life. After moving back from the University of Kansas in 2002, she started working in the restaurant industry and developed a love and passion for it. Brian and Kendra met working together at Old Chicago in 2006 and have been working together ever since!

ABOUT THE BUSINESS
​When Pigs Fly BBQ is a quick serve BBQ restaurant. We are a family owned and operated Christian business that caters to the local diner. We believe that food can be served quick and still be fresh and made to order. We pride ourselves in our customer service, and our goal is to make sure we know your name before you leave! We believe in treating our staff and customers like family and do our best everyday to deliver on that promise. We wanted to make sure we give back to this amazing community, and over the years, we have held many fundraisers to help feed our local in need community. We have dine in service (seating for 80 people) to go orders available, can accommodate private parties and we offer catering services for any event, birthday parties, graduations, weddings and more!

WHY THE BUSINESS WAS STARTED
After spending much of our careers working for other people, once given the opportunity, we decided we wanted to be our own boss. We had the desire and drive to work locally and feed Wichita BBQ that was better than anything you could find in Kansas, even Kansas City. We wanted to provide customers with a friendly and family oriented experience, and we didn’t believe we needed  anything other than good food and good customer service to do that!

MOST POPULAR ITEM
We are known for our rotating “Weekly Specials.” Our Weekly Specials are always BBQ with a twist items! Dishes that you won’t find on our regular menu, or any BBQ restaurants regular menu! We bring in items specifically to make each special! Chicken Bombs, BBQ Nachos, Burnt Ends Mac & Cheese and more! You can find the special each week on our Facebook page! The specials run Tuesday-Saturday!
