There’s a brand new store in the Delano District that specializes all sorts of bottled sodas, local and national salsas, barbecue sauces and hot sauces and old nostalgic and novelty candy. It’s Sweet ‘n Saucy…. literally and figuratively.

If you’ve ever been to Rocket Fizz, it’s pretty similar in offering with the exception that Sweet ‘n Saucy has the added hot sauces, barbecue sauces and salsas. Plus they are located in a more convenient area for a majority of the city as I’m sure west siders didn’t want to have to drive all the way to Greenwich for Rocket Fizz. So this is just another option for people.
Sweet ‘n Saucy wants to be the local premiere candy & soda sauce shoppe for Wichita. They have 200+ bottles of soda, 200+ bottles of hot sauce, BBQ sauce, salsa and candy. The options are really endless.
If you’re looking for local, they have you covered there too. I saw items from such locals as Sara Jane’s Salsa and Holmes-Made Salsa.

Prices were equal to cheaper than Rocket Fizz. It was $7.99 for four bottles of pop which was equal to what Rocket Fizz charged. Candy was cheaper in some aspects. For example, small and large bags of taffy were $4.99 and $6.49.
There was a little bit of something for everybody. With hundreds of options, it was fun browsing around and picking out random little things I wanted. Of course, I picked up another jar of Sarah Jane’s salsa as I was running low at home.
It was quite the fine addition to Delano and really a store that matched the character of the neighborhood.
