As a Wichita State graduate, I’m continually amazed at all the transformations and changes taking place on campus. I return there often whether it’s for sports or organizational meetings I’m a part of and it always brings a smile to my face to see the continued growth. The latest change comes Monday when the cities second Fuzzy’s Taco Shop opens at Wichita State University’s Braeburn Square located off of 21st street next door to the Shocker Store.

I had the opportunity to stop by and visit the new Fuzzy’s this week and wanted to give you a look inside at what to expect.
Ordering and pick up is the same at Fuzzy’s. You place your orders at the counter, given a buzzer, and when that buzzer goes off, you go pick up your food.
After that, there are numerous seating options inside the toned down interior from what other Fuzzy’s has. No longer do they have the super loud and vibrant colors everywhere. The look is more toned down which was a very welcomed change.
For those who want to dine outside, there’s a beautiful view out back facing the east with plenty of seating.
You’ll also have to check out the Wu-Shark that sits above the order counter.
As for the food, there’s a mix of burritos, tacos, salads, quesadillas, breakfast, and even a full bar. It just might be the perfect place to pre-game before basketball games with its close proximity to the arena.
I think it’ll also be great for students who don’t want to travel off campus for food. There’s going to be a study hour there too with discounted menu items for students.
All opinions of their food aside, I think it’s a great addition to campus and I’m not just saying that as a supporter and advocate of the university. These are the continued improvements that the school is making to give it a better footprint. I approve.
Remember Fuzzy’s Taco Shop’s grand opening is Monday, August 19. The first 50 people will get free Fuzzy’s for a year. Will you be getting in line?
