I love condiments, spreads, sauces, everything. If you can dip it, spread it, eat it off the spoon, I’ll likely be a consumer. One place I’ve known about for quite some time but haven’t ever ventured out to is Steve’s Jams & Jellies. I’ve seen them at some of the Farmer’s Markets around town but never made my way to their stand. I heard they had a little brick & mortar inside Towne West Square so I decided to make my way out there to check out the storefront.

Let’s start with what they have. In regards to sauces, they sell many local products. From BBQ sauces to honey to salsas to meats to candles, they had all sorts of delicious treats from Wichita area producers.
But that wasn’t the reason for my visit. I wanted to try my hand at Steve’s Jams & Jellies. There were over a hundred different types on hand. There were jams, jellies, marmalades, beer and wine jellies, naked jams, butter and spicy and savory options. If Willy Wonka had a Jams & Jelly Factory, this would be it.
The choices were endless which made it difficult to narrow down my purchasing decision. 8oz jars cost $7 or 5 for $30. There were also some mini-sized jars for $3 and change.
Here’s just one of the walls of heavenly spreads available.
I was able to try some of their best sellers like “Santa’s Revenge Jelly” which was made with Carolina reaper, talk about a punch to the throat. It was sweet going in but was immediately followed up with some heat. If anybody else in my family loved spicy foods like I did, I would have picked that up. I also tried their (I believe it was) Monkey Fart which was another top seller. It tasted like candy; I should have picked up a jar for myself. The gentleman working in the store was super pleasant and helpful.
With so many options, one visit wouldn’t do it justice. I’m going to have to return soon. In the meantime, I picked up some Apple Butter and Strawberry Marmalade. Once I knock out these two jars, you can definitely expect me to return to purchase some more. I’m already addicted.
Also if you return back five empty jars, you get a free jam or jelly.
If you can’t make it out to their storefront since it’s only open Friday – Sunday, they are also at many of the Farmer’s Markets which you can see in the menu below:
Happy Dining,
