Another local business to be featured on national television

You may have heard of Doo-Dah Diner and Public appearing on The Cooking Channel’s Burgers, Brew & Que. Of course there was also Fetch Bistro’s appearance on Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back.

Another local Wichitan will make her national TV debut tonight. Sarah Heimerman will be on In The Kitchen with David. It stars TV personality and author, David Venable, who helps promotes gourmet food products on QVC. The show airs Wednesday, January 8 at 7pm CST on QVC. If you don’t have cable, you can check out their live stream on YouTube or QVC.com.

Sarah will be on to help talk about Knork. If you didn’t know the flatware company was invented here in Wichita, KS with operations running out of Newton, KS. It started off as a fork that serves as a knife too thus the name Knork, get it? Since then, they’ve grown to make all sorts of ergonomic and study utensils for consumers and businesses. It’s a pretty cool story to have a nationally recognized product created in our city.

The business was chosen as one of Oprah’s Favorite Things in 2015 and has appeared on other shows like Top Chef, Rachael Ray, Food Network’s Unwrapped, The Today Show and more. You can find Knork at restaurants like Homegrown, Sumo, Scotch & Sirloin, Milkfloat and Il Vicino who is a DineOutWichita restaurant.

Ironically enough, Knork was one of my first purchases when I moved out on my own. It was such a proud moment in my adult life. It was a gift to myself that I’ve officially grown up.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
