Ever since Legends closed down, people have been constantly wondering where to go to get all-you-can-eat crab in Wichita. The answer is still no but there’s an option available every Friday in March. The Kitchen Buffet located inside the Kansas Star Casino has brought back their crag legs buffet for this month only.
The price is $34.95 if you show them you B Connected players card which is free for everyone or it’s regularly $36.95. It runs from 4pm – 10pm. Every other day the price for the buffet $12.99 to $17.99 depending on lunch, dinner and the day you go in.
I lucked out and received a complimentary buffet for two in the mail thanks to spending enough many at the blackjack and Pai Go poker table. So we stopped by for the first Friday to check out the crab legs and the rest of the buffet.

When I say check out the rest of the buffet, I really mean try a couple of things, take some pictures and eat as many crab legs as I physically can. You can see the entire listing of what their buffet included but my focus for this blog was on the crab legs.
There was a decent line of traffic for the crab legs that flowed swiftly. Each trip, they would give you a bucket of crab legs.
We then grabbed some butter and was off to the races.
I was in heaven at first bite. I’m not going to compare this crab leg buffet to others I’ve been to in Las Vegas or some of the coastal cities I’ve been to as that just wouldn’t be fair. But for what I had and keeping my expectations tempered, it was a delicious time cracking in each leg and chowing down on crab.
They were a nice orange-reddish color to it and the meat came out very easily. I was able to slide out a nice chunk of crab, put it in my mouth and smile and my taste buds were treated to a rare treat….. all the crab it could handle.
There was a gentleman to my right just pounding away buckets of crab legs and I tried my best to keep up. There was only one thing that was stopping me from devouring even more crab legs…… the 10pm closing time.
I really enjoyed my time there and would easily go back this doesn’t happen often. After The Kitchen Buffet closed, we proceeded to step on to the casino floor and lost what we would have spent on the buffets and some. Here’s to hoping we get more complimentary buffet coupons in the mail.
Here’s a look at their buffet line:

It’s great food for sure. I think you also have to mention the cigarette smoke though and that if you are not a smoker, you have to immediately throw all your clothes in the washer. A pretty disgusting after effect of eating in that casino. Love the buffet otherwise.
