Let’s Review Taco Bell!

Let’s review Taco Bell!

Taco Bell is an American fast food chain that serves a mix of Mexican/Tex-Mex foods. Founded in 1962 in Downey, CA, the chain now has 7,000 locations worldwide. In 2018 a Harris Poll was conducted and in a sample of 77,031, Taco Bell was voted ‘America’s Favorite Mexican Restaurant’.

I decided to head there for my weekend #Saturchains review. During my visit, I ordered the entire $1 Cravings Value Menu which consisted of:

  • Beefy Fritos Burrito
  • Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito
  • Shredded Chicken Quesadilla Melt
  • Cheesy Roll Up
  • Spicy Tostada
  • Spicy Potato Soft Taco
  • Triple Layer Nachos
  • Cinnamon Twists

How do I put this lightly? Pretty much everything was VERY bland. In nearly all of the items it was mostly cheese or beans that stuck out as the main flavor. It was pretty poor and lackluster even by fast food standards.

Any item that had meat in it had what appeared to be a teaspoon of meat poured on or in it. Even my spicy potato soft taco had a minimal amount of potatoes. My Beefy Fritos Burrito probably should have been called a burrito with beefy flavoring.

Of all the $1 menu items I had, cinnamon twists were probably the best due to it being different. Other than that it was not anything I’d crave again, even at a dollar.

To anybody who voted Taco Bell as America’s Favorite Mexican Restaurant, we cannot ever be friends.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
