It’s been 3-4 years since my last stop to Dappery Dodo Breakfast Burritos. The food truck that specializes in imaginative breakfast burrito creations parks out behind the Lucky’s Everyday building at 1217 E Douglas. They usually operate when the bar is open late in the evening.
Here lately though, they’ve been opening on the weekends from 5-9pm so I swung by to get my hands on one of their burritos.

The menu at Dappery Dodo rotates on a monthly basis. You can always check out their Facebook page to see what’s on tap. On my visit, they had a bistrk-silog burrito that I was able to order online for pickup.
The burrito included Fried Filipino-style beefsteak and onions, garlic fried rice, and a fried egg. I was extremely close to ordering a second burrito but based off of my last experience, I knew two would be way to much for me.
My burrito was very girthy and built like a tank. After my first bite, I knew I was in for a treat. The thing was packed with garlic fried rice that wasn’t overly salty or garlicy. It was seasoned just right. And when you have a fried egg mixed in, that can only make any meal better. The top layer inside the burrito was a tender layer of Filipino-style beefsteak that nearly melted in my mouth. It was such a delicious dinner. Had I ordered a second burrito, my stomach may have exploded.
I was very happy to finally make it back out to Dappery Dodo Breakfast Burritos. For $7, my stomach was more than satisfied. Hopefully I can make it back sooner than later to try some of their other awesome creations.

THE VEGGIE SISIG-SILOG BURRITO – $6
Vegetarian version of a classic Filipino bar-food. Mushrooms, tofu, peppers, & onions. Marinated & grilled. Served with garlic fried rice and a sunny-side up egg.
THE BISTEK-SILOG BURRITO – $7
Fried Filipino-style beefsteak and onions, garlic fried rice, and a fried egg.
PANCAKES & BACON BURRITO – $8
Buttermilk pancakes, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, scrambled eggs, and syrup.
