Goat birria coming to south Wichita in June

If you’ve driven by Westway Plaza, you may have noticed a new sign up for Chuyito’s Birrieria in the former Panda Grill Buffet space at 1415 W Pawnee.

It’s a new Mexican restaurant that will specialize in the goat birria which is a meat stew, traditionally made from beef but occasionally made from goat meat or mutton. Goat birria is a dish everybody should try once. It’s such a rich and flavorful stew. If you’ve ever been to Birrieria Raymundo on 21st street, this place should have a similar feel as they are owned by the same family.

I spoke to the owner yesterday and right now plans are for the restaurant to open in June. Once I hear of a set date, I’ll be sure to share with you all.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
