What to expect at the new wine hall inside Revolutsia, Fleur De Vin

In the lower level of the shipping container mall, Revolutsia, sits Wichita’s newest wine hall. Fleur De Fin is located right around the corner from Taco Locale. The two shipping containers is roughly 600 square feet and has seating for around 35 people. I was quite surprised at how open it was given the capacity they had available.

There was a little French vibe going on inside when we stopped by during their soft opening. I’m not the most knowledgeable person on wine. Me reviewing wine is like my 11-month-old daughter reviewing the letters in the alphabet. Here lately I’ve been drinking more red wine but it’s essentially what anybody throws my way. So I won’t try to pretend I’m some guy who knows how to write about wine. What I do know is how to drink.

The staff was very helpful in helping us decide. Megan went with a white wine while I went with a flight of three different red wines, Decoy, Artezin, and Camp. Don’t ask me to give you my thoughts because I’m very much still learning.

Along with the wines, they also hard cider cherry limeade, kombucha, and cocktails available. Everything can be paired with charcuterie, cheese and toast boards from Boards which is also located inside Revolutsia.

We tried one of their toast boards which came with Turkish Sourdough from a local bread company and smoked trout. We were both amazed by it. The smoked trout spread tasted just like I imagined it would be. There were subtle bites of smokiness that really stuck out and it was very smooth. I’m not much of a sourdough guy and I loved it. To the point, I started googling more about where to get some in town.

The vibe inside was very chill. I heard Revolutsia is working on getting licensed to allow people to take drinks into the courtyard. I think that would be very cool and a nice addition to the area. People could grab a taco from Taco Locale, some wine from Fleur De Fin, a bierock from Prost, a charcuterie board from Boards and then end it all on some ice cream from Little Lion all outside. Once that is allowed, I see a Revolutsia “pub crawl” in the future.

Here’s their menu:
