Let’s review Papa John’s!
Founded in 1984 in Jeffersontown, Kentucky, Papa John’s is an American pizza restaurant chain with over 5,000 locations worldwide. There are now ten locations in the Wichita area which is a number that has shrunk in recent years.
For the purpose of this review, we stopped by their Andover location for carryout. We ordered a thin crust pepperoni and a regular crust supreme pizza.
To make this quick, Papa John’s has two nice parts to it. The crust is soft, doughy and pretty tasty and then the garlic sauce makes the crust even better. As a condiment lover, the garlic sauce is up there as one of my favorites.
Unfortunately the rest of the pizza doesn’t stack up well for me. It’s heavy on the cheese which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But every bite causes all the toppings to slide right off on the supreme. Then the pepperoni pizza is even heavier on the grease.
If the ingredients and the rest of the pizza could match up to the crust, it’d be a real winner of a national chain pizza for me but unfortunately it just doesn’t add up well.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
