New Philly cheesesteak restaurant to open in former TOPS space

With the closing of TOPS Steakhouse, Wichita has been left scrambling with local cheesesteak options. There are some out there, but they are few and far between. Wichita Subs & More hopes to be the new answer for Philly cheesesteak fans.

Sisters, Donial Fayson and Desiree Ellison, are opening the new restaurant that will take over the former T.O.P.S. Steaks and Hoagies at 2251 E 21st St. N which closed down earlier this year.

They are currently waiting on inspection but hopes to have the restaurant open in early October. After speaking with Facyson, she said, “An authentic Philly cheesesteak is on its way. Everything on the menu will be the east coast favorites like the infamous fish sub, seafood fries, and the best chips in the world… Herrs.”

She said they are both originally from Delaware and grew up on cheese steaks. Her background includes going to school for culinary arts and working in the restaurant industry for 7 years.

Once the Wichita Subs & More menu is available, I will be sure to update this blog with their offerings.

Stay tuned…

Happy Dining,
Eddy
