The wait is almost over. Torchy’s Tacos officially opens next week. The opening date for Torchy’s Taco is set for September 16.
The new taco restaurant based out of Texas will be located at 2191 N. Rock Road at the southwest corner of 21st and Rock Road in the former Clark’s Fine Jewelers/Mattress Firm space next door to Pizza Hut.
Their hours will be Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
If you’re unfamiliar with Torchy’s Tacos, they started out as a food trailer in Austin, TX. Since then, they’ve grown to over 80 locations in the U.S. The closest locations are in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Edmond and Norman. I’ve been to a Torchy’s Tacos location with friends in Texas before years ago and remember all of us liking. That was many years ago so I’m looking forward to a refresher.
We will have a first look at the new restaurant next week.
As you can guess, the restaurant specializes in tacos. Their motto is ‘Damn Good’ tacos. Here’s a copy of one of their menus. You’ll notice they also feature a Taco of the Month.
