With the Vietnamese New Year coming, I wanted to celebrate Vietnamese restaurants around town. One of the frequent stops in my rotation is Saigon Oriental Restaurant. It’s one of the popular restaurants in Wichita and a place I try to make it to every few months.

I’ve had so many dishes there like their spicy kimchi, bun, Sai Fun noodles, and more. The food there is fantastic. On this particular cold day, I was feeling a bowl of pho with everything in it: sliced beef, flank, tendon, tripe and meatballs.
The staff at Saigon is always on top of everything including getting your food out which is great and makes for a quick downtown lunch option.
The pho hit the spot. It was jam packed full of meat. I knew instantly I would be walking out of the restaurant full (and probably hungry again in about an hour or so).
Their broth is a little more clear than some other options in town and not as rich but it’s still flavorful and aromatic. With the cold weather, the broth was the perfect soothing meal for my appetite. Under all the meat was plenty of noodles to keep filling me up.
Saigon still sits in there as one of the top five pho options in Wichita for me. It certainly helps the people there are all fantastic.
Here is their menu:
Happy Dining,
