What to expect at Things 4 That – the ultimate stop for handcrafted gifts and more

Things 4 That

One local store I’ve never been to but have been referred to by many friends is Things 4 That. I was completely unfamiliar with the place and what they sold. When I arrived I saw some wooden signs out front. But when I walked in, the place blew me away. I had no idea just how big the space was inside.

Things4That is a craft consignment store that carries handcrafted gifts and more. They have over 200 consignors that sell all sorts of gifts, Wichita and Kansas items, knick-knacks, and other cool stuff. To someone who has never been, it was like the ultimate Etsy shop.

The store is located at the northeast corner of Ridge Road & Maple at 7130 W Maple St. Nearly every inch of space is covered in handmade goods. As you enter Things 4 That, they even have Keepers of all sizes for sale.

They have everything from handmade signs, wall art, metal work and hundreds more items I don’t even know what it’s called.

Personalized and engraved items like hammers can also be purchased. I wouldn’t mind getting one with instructions on how to use it properly without smashing my thumb every time.

They even have items for sports fans like socks, signage, blankets, stuffed animals, crosses….

….and even these cool light towers. I was about to get one but am told we have too much Shocker memorabilia and running out of space.

If you’re preparing for St. Patrick’s Day, Things 4 That has you covered there too.

For the foodies that follow this blog, they have you covered there too! There was a consignor called Mom’s Felt Food Kitchen who made food out of felt. It was pretty cool. I’m about 99.9999% sure it’s not edible but I didn’t buy any to confirm.

I made one purchase there which was a stuffed beanbag gnome of sorts, Shocker related, of course.

I’m definitely going back next time I’m in need of a gift that’s different from my regular go to’s of gift cards. Things 4 That’s hours are Monday 10am – 5pm, Tuesday 10am – 7pm, Wednesday 10am – 5pm, Thursday 10am – 7pm, Friday and Saturday 10am – 5pm and closed on Sunday. For more, be sure to check them out on Facebook.
