First Look at Shake Workz – Home of the monster milkshakes

Inside Towne East Square is a new dessert shop that sells monster-sized milkshakes. Big desserts that are meant to be visually appealing and really delicious. The new shop located near the food court is called Shake Workz. Let’s check it out.

At Shake Workz, you can order their signature shakes which run $12.99 and come in a jar with dessert falling out the edges. You can also get their shakes in a regular cup like the red ones in the corner for roughly $7.

They also had ice cream and cookie dough available for $3-7. Since they were called Shake Workz, I decided to splurge and get one of their signature shakes. There was a limited-time option called Strawberry Cheesecake that was made with strawberry cheesecake ice cream, graham cracker rim, whipped cream, slice of cheesecake and chocolate and strawberry drizzle. I love strawberry desserts in general and decided to go with that.

Let’s start with the good. The cheesecake itself was kind of smashed down on the milkshake but was delicious and the best part of the whole treat. After that, the milkshake fell a little flat for us and was underwhelming. The graham cracker rim didn’t really add much to the treat and appeared to be there more for show. There wasn’t much of a chocolate drizzle on there and the milkshake portion of our treat had no flavor. It was advertised as strawberry cheesecake ice cream and it didn’t taste like that at all.

Perhaps if I ordered something with a richer profound flavor like chocolate or peanut butter, the milkshake would have been better. I honestly thought the monster milkshake was going to be a homerun but unfortunately this was let down. I’m not sure if it’ll bring this boy to the yard anytime in the near future.
