One of the Dollar Taco options on the long list of Taco Tuesday specials is now closed. I’m not quite sure when they closed but Vicky’s Restaurant & Tienda Mexicana quietly closed.
Vicky’s opened back at the start of 2020 in the former Angela’s Café space at 330 S Greenwich Road.
It seems their opening of the Ricos Elote Y Mas at Towne East Square had something to do with it.
The owner of Vicky’s started out owning the Ricos Elote Y Mas as Westway Marketplace. They expanded to open Vicky’s Restaurant and then had the opportunity to take over some prime real estate at the mall earlier this year. My guess is running all those places wasn’t ideal and one had to go.
While Wichita lost one Mexican restaurant, I have a feeling there will be at least a couple opening in the month of April. Stay tuned for more on that.
