One of the canceled events from 2020 will return for 2021. Wichita Wagonmasters Downtown Chili Cook-off announced that their annual chili cook-off will be back on Saturday, September 25th on Douglas Ave in front of Century II.
It’s the city’s biggest chili cook-off and a huge fundraiser for the community.
I’m glad to hear it’s back. It’s been an event I’ve participated in as a judge for many years, as an attendee and even an entrant when my team took fifth place in the People’s Choice category. What capacity I’ll be participating in this year has yet to be determined but I definitely plan on being there.
