A friend of mine told me that his wife went on my restaurant directory to look for a City Bites review. I hadn’t written one before despite eating there hundreds of times over the years. To make one loyal reader and user of the directory happy, I put City Bites at the top of my list and stopped by there for lunch. Here’s the review!

Megan and I met up for lunch at City Bites. I asked the lady at the counter for suggestions, and she suggested the Fleetwood which included grilled beef and sausage crumbles, pepperoni, green peppers, melted provolone, black olives, and salt and pepper. Of course, I also went with the pasta salad as I order that every time I’m at City Bites.
Both items were fantastic. The Fleetwood was beyond tasty. I went with the 6-inch when in reality I should have splurged on the 12-inch. Go big or go home, right? While it was advertised as grilled beef and sausage crumbles, that may not sound like much, but it was. It was very meaty and flavorful. The textures all meshed well together between the crumbles, vegetables and pepperoni. And then there was the pasta salad which could have used a little more dressing but still worthwhile for me to grub on.
Megan went with the Baja Chicken Salad but noted it wasn’t anything too fancy or memorable; just a filling salad to get her through the workday.
City Bites was packed and the staff did an outstanding job of cleaning tables up and knocking out all the orders. One thing they do very well is offer speed and convenience. If you’re running short on time for lunch, it’s a great option for you.
