First Look at Leaf Teahouse: Wichita’s southside answer for boba and milk tea

Joining Cafe LA and Xing Xing in a strip center off East Pawnee is a new boba shop called Leaf Teahouse. They specialize in teas, smoothies, and coffee which is great because there aren’t too many options in that area of town especially local. The new shop is currently operating under a soft opening pretense. I wanted to stop by to give you all a look at what to expect.

First I have to hand it to the owners who did an incredible job of renovating the space. It was a huge facelift to an interior that brought more character to the strip center.

Much of their coffee menu is mainly Vietnamese coffee. I asked the lady working at the register for a recommendation and she suggested the Cinnamon Toast Espresso which was a milky Vietnamese coffee infused with cinnamon spice, topped with cloud foam and cinnamon sugar.

I was also told that their smoothies were fantastic so I went with a mango one.

The smoothie was fantastic and felt like it should have been its own meal. The Cinnamon Toast Espresso was sweet but not as sweet as it usually is because we asked them to tone it down.

There were many other options like boba, fruit teas and milk teas available but we opted not to try them on this visit but will have to next time. We love a good milk tea, so that will be on our revisited review.

The staff was very friendly on our visit and looked excited to finally be open. Go give them some love and try a cool (or warm beverage).
