I want to show some love to the food truck around town that’s been giving back to the community in a big way: Pete’s Donut Shack. They’ve been all over the city and surrounding area for the past year. At the same time, they’ve also been at various events giving away free and discounted donuts for various causes.

The food truck sells mini-cake donuts that are made right in front of you. They debuted in 2020 and sell mini-donuts by the dozen and half-dozen. Or if you want to go big, you can get a 3-dozen bucket!
The donuts can be sugarcoated in various flavors like watermelon, cinnamon and sugar, blue raspberry, jalapeno, pickle, pina colada, bubble gum and one of the most popular flavors, peach.
As for the mini-donuts themselves, there isn’t anything bad to say about them. They’re donuts! Who doesn’t love donuts? They are warm, fluffy and a great way to enjoy donuts without having to eat one big one. Although, the mini-donuts are sneaky. You may find yourself eating a dozen out of nowhere.
My favorite flavor is the classic cinnamon and sugar but sometimes it’s worthwhile to venture out and try the different zany options. I recently tried the jalapeno, pickle and peach. It takes roughly 2-3 donuts to get the full flavor of the sugarcoating.
