At the end of 2020, all the Smoothie King locations in Wichita and Derby closed and were rebranded to a short-lived smoothie business called Rind & Grind.
Earlier in this year, word came out that the Smoothie Kings would all return to the original locations and that day has come. On Saturday, June 12, they celebrated their grand reopening.

I stopped by the west location to get some smoothies. It’s been over a year since I last had Smoothie King and it tasted just like I remembered it.
The only difference was they didn’t have an orange flavored smoothie like they used to from years ago. But other than that, it was the same old Smoothie King. Granted I didn’t go too often so I probably wouldn’t have been able to tell if anything had changed.
