Over at the corner of 18th and Garland, there’s a little strip center that has some little shops in it. But just to the west of it, there’s a food truck that’s been around for a while, you should hear me out on. It’s Sweet P’s Love Machine.

You can’t miss the truck that parks right up against the curb.
While there’s certainly a Mexican influence to the menu, Sweet P’s Love Machine is quite eclectic with it’s offering. They have deep-fried flour tacos, enchiladas, lil chinos, hot links, burgers, and cheese steaks.
For my visit, I went with a chicken and pork taco, two lil chino’s, and a hot link. A little chino is basically a taco with Asian style pork, cilantro, onion, pickled radish, carrots, cucumber, sriracha and hoisin sauce.
The little chino is my favorite item on the menu. I’m a sucker for anything with sriracha and hoisin sauce on it, so this dish really gets me. It was incredibly flavorful and offered quite a complex level of flavors that was a hit with my taste buds. Of the two other tacos, I loved the pork which was incredibly juicy and tender.
As for the hot link, I hate hot links that have no kick. Sweet P’s Love Machine delivered on the heat. I’m not a huge raw onions fan, so I scraped most of it off. The rest of the meal was fantastic though.
I’ve only been to Sweet P’s Love Machine once before and enjoyed it. It was nice to see them still out and serving food. I walked away a happy customer.
