■ 1 Million Cups at Groover Labs | July 14
1 Million Cups is a free, weekly national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Every Wednesday morning at 8:45 a.m., one or two early-stage startups present their companies to a diverse audience of their peers, mentors, educators, and advisors.
■ Food Truck Thursdays at Exploration Place | July 15
Food Truck Thursdays takes place every Thursday at Exploration Place. Different food trucks will be on hand every Thursday. Grab a drink from the bar, jam out to live music, play games, and more all while you enjoy our scenic view of the Keeper of the Plains. Plus, bring the whole family to check out their exhibits. The event is free for EP members. Guest rates run $15 in advance or $20 per car at the gate.

Stop by for another Friday Night At The Fountains at the beautiful WaterWalk! They will have all your favorite ICT food trucks and a DJ spinning some tunes! Come support your local trucks and have some great community time.
■ 2021 TBT Tournament: The Aftershocks | July 16 – 20
The AfterShocks will once again play in The Basketball Tournament (TBT), a 64-team, $1 million winner-take-all event. The regional takes place at the Roundhouse where the Wichita State’s alumni team will serve as the featured team.
■ Fred VanVleet’s FVV Shop Pop-Up | July 16
One of the greatest Shockers of all time, Fred VanVleet, makes his return to Wichita. VanVleet and his FVV Shop will be in town on Friday at Koch Arena from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. This will be one of the first chances to see VanVleet in Wichita in a while and buy some of his merchandise. He will also be at the AfterShocks game as well.
■ 65th Annual Hutchinson Grand Nationals | July 17
The annual tradition which is the 65th annual Hutch Grand Nationals kicks off with NCRA 305’s, Super Stocks, AAA-Rookie-Sport Mods-IMCA type modifieds all in competition.
■ Chef’s Collective Dinner Theatre | July 17
Only 60 people may attend this event at Odd Fellow Hall. Chef Bill Crites and Chef Weston Townsley are creating a one-time exclusive five-course meal complimented by Mixologist Cody Lonergan who hand selected wines, spirits, beers, and cocktails to pair with each course. There will be a Jazzy Quartet playing during dinner to keep the evening alive. After Dinner there will be a one-hour concert performed by Sage Judd.
■ Fert’s Taco Tour | July 17
One of my compadres in the local food scene, Fert the Foodie, is hosting a taco tour. He has set up a route of local taco establishments that people can join him to try different places around town. You don’t have to follow his exact route, you can go to whichever ones in whatever order you would like. Who knows, I may even make an appearance at one of the stops.

Come out and enjoy two local food trucks from sweets to amazing down home food while you’re shopping for some plants. Both trucks have amazing food or drink and great prices.
