Construction started in 2020 and many people on the west side watched the months and months go by wondering if it’d ever open. Well, we have some good news for you. Torchy’s Tacos is planning to open this July.
Their new location is at 2901 N. Maize Road next door to the west side HomeGrown. I’ve been told, they will be opening on Wednesday, July 28.
If you’ve never been to Torchy’s Tacos, there’s currently one other location at 2191 N Rock Road. They are known for their inventive taco creations served on housemade corn or flour tortillas and topped with items like Green Chile Pork featuring pork carnitas, green chiles, and cotija cheese, Baja Shrimp made with fried shrimp, and cabbage slaw and pickled onions. Every month they also release a new taco of the month for diners to try.
So circle your calendar, you have about a two weeks notice if you plan on attending their grand opening. Are you going?
