What’s coming to the restaurant scene this July

It seems like July has been a very busy month for new openings when discussing restaurants or food trucks in the Wichita area. Such places like Local Flavor Grill & Tapworks and Chucherias Y Mas have opened to positive reviews but there’s a good amount of restaurants preparing to open before the end of July?

Who are they? We have all the information right here for you!

Opening Friday July 23

Los Cunados Mexican Restaurant: 4559 N. Woodlawn
Taking over the Bob & Luigi’s space will be the much anticipated Los Cunados. They plan on serving many Tex-Mex as well as traditional Mexican dishes.

Social Tap Drinkery: 4510 E 19th ST N
Located in Braeburn Square on the Wichita State campus, this new bar is a big open space with a beautiful patio that offers over 40 beers on tap.

Sungrano Pizza: 4510 E 19th ST N
Located inside Social Tap Drinkery is the latest open-fired pizza joint. Order your 9” or 14” pizza from the app, pick it up from the counter and pair it with a cold brew from Social Tap.

Opening Monday July 26

Green Olive Family BBQ: 4520 E. 47th Street
It’ll be an interesting move for Green Olive who moves from their West Central location into a much larger space in southwest Wichita. Mediterranean food AND BBQ? I’m excited to try.

Opening Monday July 26

Torchy’s Tacos: 2901 N. Maize Road
If you’ve never been to Torchy’s Tacos, they are known for their inventive taco creations served on housemade corn or flour tortillas and topped with items like Green Chile Pork featuring pork carnitas, green chiles, and cotija cheese, Baja Shrimp made with fried shrimp, and cabbage slaw and pickled onions.

Opening Friday July 30

HTeaO: 1280 N Tyler Street
This will soon be the place to go get fresh brewed iced tea hourly. They will offer 25 flavors of tea and what they claim to be the best 100% broadleaf iced tea.
