Orie’s Garlic Fest, celebrating all things garlic, moves to Downtown Wichita this Sunday

This annual food festival, Orie’s Garlic Fest, celebrates all things garlic — with ready-to-eat garlicky grub, garlic beverages, garlic salts, seasonings, baked goods, honeys, jams, and more!

The huge festival which in recent years has taken place at Eberly Farms, highlights the many facets of Wichita’s local scene: artisans, makers, farmers and ranchers, musicians, and foodies of all kinds. Let’s not forget the garlic! It’s where you’ll find the widest variety of premium grade, organically grown garlic bulbs for culinary use or fall planting.

This year, the event will take place at Public at the Brickyard at 129 N. Rock Island on Sunday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to attend.

I attended my first Orie’s Garlic Fest the other year and loved every second of it. This time, I’m bringing the family and ready to cover it the only way I know how… by trying as much as possible. It’s like a big farmer’s market for all things garlic.
