They originally gained popularity from the food truck parked at 2427 W. 53rd Street. During that time, Road Runner Mexican Food has opened a location at 5255 N. Maize Road and are preparing to open a third store.
Thanks to the success from their truck and the second location in Maize that opened earlier in 2021, owners believe there’s enough popularity to branch out to south Wichita.
Road Runner Mexican Food will take over the space left by Walt’s Klassics at 2420 S. Oliver that closed earlier this year.
I spoke to them and while anything can change, they plan to open the newest location in a couple of weeks. That should put them on pace for a November 22 opening.
