The next restaurant to close in Wichita will be El Papa Pollo Restaurant. The Mexican restaurant located at 808 W. 25th Street announced on Sunday that January will be the last month they’ll be in business.
Originally called Papa Gallo Mexican Restaurant, they used to be located at 901 E. Harry before moving to their current location in 2018 and changing their name to what it is now.
Since then, they’ve been selling their whole grilled chickens, tacos and other dishes at one of the most popular intersections for Mexican food.
If you want to go give them some love, they are open seven days a week 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. except for Tuesday when they open at 9 a.m.
