Crawfish season is back and one of the first restaurants to have live crawfish shipped in is Headz & Tailz. They’re a downtown restaurant serving a mix of Cajun and seafood dishes with a Cambodian flair. It’s unlike any other restaurant in town, which makes it unique, and it certainly helps that the food is delicious.

If you’re looking to save a little money, Thursdays is Headz & Tailz half-price crawfish day. You can get a pound for $8.50
I dropped in to buy a couple pounds the other weeks and was loving every second. It’s been many months since I last had crawfish, and every bite brought back so many memories of last summer.
At Headz & Tailz, you can get varying heat levels, similar to ordering a Thai dish. You can get mild, medium, hot, or if you really want them to bring the heat, they will; all of which are flavorful options. And to make things even better, the crawfish were huge, which sometimes is a rarity this early into the year.
Check them out. I’m sure I’ll be eating my weight this year in crawfish and look forward to returning soon. I didn’t snap a picture of the menu because I was told new ones were on the way. Until then, you can view their menu on their website.
