Eat all the savory and sweet foods you can at Death By Chocolate; a fundraiser for Exploration Place

I’ve been to quite a few of the big events around Wichita, but one that has eluded my schedule is Death By Chocolate at Exploration Place. It’s their big annual fundraiser that returns for a 16th year.

For whatever reason, I’ve been unable to make it but can finally attend when it takes place on Saturday, April 30. It’s right up my alley, as it’s an opportunity to feast on local sweet and savory food and drinks all night long while listening to live music. If you love chocolate and eating so much that it could possibly cause a near-death experience, this is the event for you. Here’s a list of everybody in attendance for drink and food.

I’ve signed on to be a judge at the event and ready to gorge myself with all the vices of life.

The theme for 2022 is Superheroes vs Villains and you can expect special guest appearances from the likes of Batman, Spider-Man, Thor, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Black Panther, Iron Man, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. I’ve seen mockups of the experiences and you can expect the same interactive hands-on fun that the Exploration Place is known for. There’s a Batcave Nightclub, Thor’s Hammer, Joker’s Funhouse, Hulk Smash and more. 

This event has sold out year after year, and that could very well be the case again in 2022. Best of all, you will be helping support the STEM education programs of Exploration Place.

General Admission which is $125 includes unlimited food and beverage and access to all experiences. VIP guests receive one hour of early access, VIP parking, two VIP Lounges and specialty cocktails. Event is 21+. Attire is cocktail or themed costume. Remember, that’s Saturday, April 30 at Exploration Place.
