With Fuji Asian Food closing in March, a new restaurant has taken over the space. China Town is the latest fast casual Chinese restaurant hoping to lure in customers looking for affordable, convenient and quick made-to-order dishes.

I swung by to get a look and try some of the dishes they had. They recommended I try the beef rice noodles and then since I was craving some wings, I had an order of those as well.
The first dish arrived was the beef rice noodles, which were delicious. I love the thin style noodles. It could be my subconscious lying to me, but they don’t feel as heavy after you’re done pigging out. China Town’s beef rice noodles weren’t heavily greasy, oily, overly sauced or salty. It had a good balance that kept the flavors light.
Next up, the wings arrived with a hot sauce and honey sauce. There’s just something about wings from a Vietnamese or Chinese restaurant that gets me. They really do it right. From the crunchy breading to the tender, juicy interior, it was fantastic.
I totally get there might be some burnout from all the fast casual Chinese places in town, but China Town seemed to do an impressive job of execution. They took a formula that’s popular in town with all these Chinese restaurants, right down to the menu, and on my experience, prepared a better tasting dish than say a Great Wall located almost across the street.
Two dishes I wanted to try and need to next time based on recommendations are the Scallion Beef and the Black Pepper Chicken. I was told, they were different from other takes in town.
Give them a try.
