It’s crazy where lunch can lead you sometimes. I stopped by one restaurant who was supposed to be open and they were closed; then went to a second restaurant for a particular dish and they didn’t have the items for it that day. I decided to play it safe for my third option and swing by a restaurant I haven’t been to in a few months, Thai House. It’s one of the ICT 100 restaurants and never lets me down.

The tiny space on West Street used to offer seating, but they have since changed to carryout only.
I always go with a soup on my visit and went with the Thom Yum Kai and was feeling the Pa-Naeng with beef. If you’ve never had their Pa-Naeng, it’s a Thai pa-naeng curry paste and sweet basil in coconut milk.
Anything Thom Yung is a delicious starter at Thai House. If you love all the flavor profiles from spicy, sour, savory, and “crack-like addictive” (is that a thing?), then this is a soup you have to order. The Pa-Naeng was just as delicious. It was sweet, yet salty, and was just a blast of flavors that kept you coming back for more. I wish my to-go container was drowning in the sauce because I would have slurped all of it up with no regrets.
In a city full of great Thai options, Thai House is easily towards the top.
Here’s their menu:
