We finally got our hands on the Van Leeuwen Kraft Macaroni and Cheese ice cream. They were made available last year but the 6,000 pints sold out online in less than an hour. Fortunately, there was a nationwide release at Walmart this year and we were able to get our hands on one.
The pints were $4.98 a piece.
The thought of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese ice cream interested not a single person I knew. But the rule of being around me is, if I find something, you have to try it. Well, except for my two-year old. She has a say and that was a defiant no. This is a girl who rarely ever turns down dessert.
I took the first bite and made the “disgusting” look. Then everyone else in our family gave it a try. It was really hard to put our finger on exactly what it tasted like, but we all agreed on one thing…. it was gross.
It looked like mac n cheese, kind of smelled like it and tasted like a mix of day-old mac n cheese that was sitting out, string cheese and a bit of orange mixed in.
This was not something anybody wanted a second bite of. Try at your own risk.
