Ask many Derby residents what’s missing, and a steakhouse is one of the most popular responses you’ll get. The new multi-sport and entertainment complex, The Sandbox at Derby, is ready to fill that void.
The Sandbox at Derby is nearing completion in Derby, with an anticipated Grand Opening in late spring or early summer. The 11.2-acre facility is located near the intersection of Cambridge and Rock Road. It will offer sand volleyball, indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, cornhole and other yard games, along with a two-story restaurant and bar with an open-air rooftop patio overlooking the playing courts.
The recreational side has been covered, so let’s talk about the food. I was given a draft of the menu that I’ll share at the end of this article.
The Sandbox has been posting teasers of their food on their Facebook page. It’s no surprise, the biggest reaction was for the steaks. All of their steaks will be from Yoder meats. They’ll serve everything from ribeyes, KC strips, filets, sirloins, and more.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on developments for this exciting addition to Derby. For more, check out their website or follow them on Facebook.
