Standard Issue Co.

We’ve covered numerous businesses over the years; many aimed at different demographics and interests. But one industry we haven’t really discussed much is apparel and goods for men, and that’s where Standard Issue Co. comes into play.

The store located at 924 E. Douglas started in June 2020 right around the time when the world was flipped on its side. The mission of the store was to create a place that carried high-quality apparel and goods for men. It’s an industry that hasn’t been tapped much in Wichita.

They carry everything from apparel that’s locally focused, some locally made. I thought it was pretty cool to see some Wichita Wranglers clothing. Then there are accessories that men may like including knives, candles, bags, necklaces…. some of which are also made here in Wichita by people working out of their homes.

There’s even a barber shop inside called The Barbershop at Standard Issue Co. that specializes in straight razor shaves.

I picked myself up a hat and a baseball tee; the shirt was definitely top-notch quality.
