My Gym

Located at 2434 N Woodlawn St., My Gym is a big play area that gives children a fun, physically engaging environment. With over 700+ locations worldwide, they offer open play times along with camps and classes aimed at different skill sets for infants and kids all the way to roughly 10 years old.
The goal of the gym is to create an environment where children feel loved and supported so their self-esteem and confidence can flourish. They were offering $2 trials of their classes, so I signed my daughter and niece to take one.
When we arrived, the kids eyes lit up and they were allowed to roam around, run, play, jump, tumble, everything. Here’s a brief look inside the gym.
When the class started, they did some singing, dancing, and activities testing their strength, agility, balance, and coordination. They were all simple activities that they could grasp and really enjoyed doing. The teacher stayed very engaged with all the kids throughout the hour.
They had so much fun, I knew they’d want to go again. So, a couple of months later, we decided to host our daughter’s third birthday at My Gym. It was affordable and gave us a space to use for ourselves. We were able to rent the gym for a couple of hours, have a private room for cake and gifts, a standing area for parents to watch, and a big play area for roughly 20 kids to let loose.
Everyone loved it. All the kids had a fantastic time and there wasn’t a single frown in the building. That day may have been my daughter’s favorite moment in her entire life. It was all she talked about for the longest time. We may have to celebrate her “half birthday” there just to give us a reason to go back with several of her friends.
