One of Derby’s best restaurants, and a huge personal favorite of mine, Sharon’s Place, is set to close at the end of the month.
The owners of one of the few Hawaiian options around the Wichita area will celebrate their final day on July 29. Located at 141 E. Kay Street, Sharon’s Place has been serving quality, delicious food for the city of Derby and anybody willing to make the drive there.
It’s hard to make it in the restaurant industry for five years, but Sharon’s Place did it and will now close after making the decision to retire. They are one of those restaurants, I loved stopping by whether to grab a bite to eat with my daughter or simply say hi to the owners.
They will truly be missed.
