First Look at Buffalo Brew Coffee Company in Maize, KS

Maize Road is getting flooded with new coffee options. One place that deserves a little more buzz compared to all the chains arriving is Buffalo Brew Coffee Company. They’re a further bit north than the area around 29th and Maize. The drive-thru only kiosk is right across the street from Maize Middle School at 4605 N. Maize Road. They have another location in Valley Center at 1550 S. Meridian Avenue.

I do love the look of their kiosk. It has a Lincoln logs vibe to it and feels less corporate than a Scooters Coffee.

The drive-thru coffee shop sells hot and cold drinks like lattes, teas, coffees, cappuccinos, frappes and more. They also have smoothies and a limited selection of snacks such as muffins, oatmeal, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and cookies.

I stopped by to check it out to continue my quest with visiting every single food and drink option in town. My ordered consisted of a Butterfinger frappe and a breakfast burrito.

I’m not in the business of reviewing coffee drinks, but will say that I thoroughly enjoyed the sweet, rich and chocolatey beverage. The burrito was a good portion size for breakfast; it didn’t leave me feeling bloated and stuffed after finishing it.

Coffee spots aren’t necessarily my thing and feel I’m not one who should be reviewing them. At the very least, I can use this platform to shed some light on them for the true connoisseurs out there. If you’re in the area, give them a try and see what you think.
