A new restaurant has opened called Tutors Pizza. Located at 524 S. Seneca, they aim to draw in a much more diverse audience than past businesses in the location. With pizza, arcade games, a play area for children, a patio with corn hole and televisions everywhere, Tutors Pizza is a family-friendly pizza place with lots to do.

As mentioned earlier, there’s plenty to do for kids with arcade and ticket games, skeeball, pop-a-shot and more placed throughout the restaurant. This is just a small glimpse.
The menu at Tutors consists of pizza by the slice, whole pizzas, wings, burgers, pastas and more. The price for by the slice is four dollars. Our group had a bunch of pizzas by the slice, a whole Detroit style pizza, a pizza burger, a salad, and some garlic knots.
If you order pizza by the slice, they take your slice out and then give it a quick run through to warm it up.
Here’s a glimpse of what we had:
I had two slices of pizza (Hawaiian and beef) and their pizza burger.
At my table, I think most of us were fans of the pizza. It wasn’t overly greasy, the crust was firm, but not too soft or hard, and there were plenty of toppings to go around on the pizza. The sauce was sweet, but in a good way that didn’t overtake the rest of the flavors. For pizza by the slice, it was pretty good and certainly enjoyable; zero complaints from my end.
As for the pizza burger, it was back and forth on. On the bright side, it was a thick, two-patty burger with plenty of pepperonis over the top. I think what makes me feel wishy-washy on the burger was it didn’t exactly taste like pizza. I think more pizza sauce would have helped. With it being a two-patty burger, all I could really taste was the beef… which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But since it’s called a pizza burger, having those flavors mixed in would have been better. Lastly, the bun could use some work. It was stiffer than I would have hoped for.
All in all, though, Tutors Pizza was a good time. In the category of family-friendly restaurants and bars, they put out a good pizza. I didn’t get a slice of the Detroit-style pizza or order the wings, so I’ll have to come back. I’m sure if I bring the family, more money will be spent on games than food. Fun times, right?
