Since becoming a parent, there are some events I don’t miss. My daughter’s birthday, my daughter opening Christmas gifts, and the chance to load up all on clothes, toys and more at Rhea Lana’s of Greater Wichita semi-annual children’s consignment sale. It takes place at Century II and the public pre-sale starts Sunday, August 14.
The sale is something many of my friends told me about when I found I was joining the ranks of fatherhood. I had never heard of it before, but after attending my first sale over three years ago, I was hooked. The Rhea Lana sale offers gently used children’s items for 50-60% off retail price.
In all my years shopping there, I’ve never once had an issue with an outfit, a toy, anything. I feel like every parent in Wichita sells all their kids stuff here. At least it looks that way when you see the sheer number of items on the floor. Here is a picture of the main floor…. and that’s NOT even everything.
If you’re looking to get an entire season’s worth of clothes so you don’t need to bother with it the rest of the year, this is the time to go.
The Rhea Lana children’s consignment event takes place twice a year, and the latest event takes place at Century II from August 14 to 19. Here are the dates you need to know.
On Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13, there is a pre-sale shopping event. If you want to get in early to catch all the great deals, tickets are available here.
After that, the event is open to the public until the 19th. Anybody can get in without a ticket on Sun., August 14 and Mon. August 15. On Tues. August 16 and Wed. August 17, most times are 25% and then the popular half price sale days are on Thurs. August 18 and Fri. August 19.
