The Arcade is set to expand with a bigger space and adding food and drink

Ever since The Arcade opened in 2017 at 139 N. Mead, I think the thing to really take the entertainment venue to a whole new level was food and drink.

Those prayers will soon be answered.

The retro arcade with unlimited gaming is moving to 906 E. Third Street. The new building will require a big renovation so it wouldn’t be ready until the end of the year.

Once it opens, co-owner Derek Sorrells, said the new Arcade will include, food, a full bar, two private party rooms that can be combined to one large room, and a huge outdoor patio with corn hole, giant Jenga and connect four. The heart and soul of their business, the games, will only get better. Over a hundred 80s/90s arcade games with unlimited replay will still be available for one low price.

Sorrells did note that while alcohol will be served, The Arcade is and will always be a family-friendly place. They will still focus on creating a safe and fun environment where families can have a great time.

Be on the lookout for more as the new Arcade progresses.
