It’s fall y’all! With cooler weather upon us (probably mixed in with some 100-degree days, tornados, earthquakes and a typhoon or two), that means one thing… Fall Festivals! There’s a lot coming up in and around town. Not just, your popular small town fall festivals, but festivals celebrating cultures, food and more.

The City of Gold Festival
September 17-24 | El Dorado
El Dorado’s biggest party is taking place September 17-24th throughout El Dorado! From giant pumpkin races to concerts, a medallion hunt to a BBQ cook-off; they’ve got it all!

Colwich Heritage Festival

Beer and Wine Festival with BBQ Smoke Off
September 24 | Mulvane Sports Complex
Join the city of Mulvane for a fun filled Saturday. They will be having a smoke off with prizes for best red meat best white meat ,best BBQ sauce, best side dish, and Patty`s Favorite. General entry tickets include beer and wine tasting, cornhole open play, and live music.

Wichita Pride2022

Wichita Pride cannot wait to celebrate with out Wichita Pride Community. Join them for their 2 day event September 24th, and 25th 2022. Please join for a night of entertainment, vendor and exhibitors.

Tallgrass Film Festival

Bringing independent film to Kansas. The Tallgrass Film festival takes place in downtown Wichita, KS.

Prost Oktoberfest
September 29 – October 1 | Prost
Come celebrate a traditional German Oktoberfest at Prost! They will have an all day DJ ~Live Polka music Friday and Saturday! ~ Games and Contests! ~Imported German Fest Bier! ~Brats/Pretzels and other festival food! Art vendors.

Oktoberfest at Elderslie Farm
September 30 – October 1 | Elderslie Farm
Gather your friends and family at Elderslie Farm to celebrate Oktoberfest 2022 on both Friday, September 30th & Saturday, October 1st. – Vendors – Beer – Pretzels – Bratwurst – Caber Toss – Pumpkins – Horse-drawn Carriage Rides – Live Music & More! Maize Fall Festival

44th Annual Heritage Days
September 30 – October 1 | Dickinson County Historical Society and Museum
The annual Heritage Day Festival features a living history with historic agricultural demonstrations, steam engine carousel rides, an antique tractor show, a classic car show and much more. This year the featured tractor will be the Massey-Harris.

Greater Andover Days
September 30 – October 2 | Andover
Join us for live music, the carnival, golf tournament, disc golf tournament, pickle ball, food court, business expo craft fair, fishing clinic, watermelon and hotdog eating contest, and so many more of your favorites as the Andover community comes together to celebrate.

Blessed Sacrament’s Oktoberfest

Run for the Poor. Also an all day event including kids’ inflatable park, live bands, Hofbrau, Prost, Leinenkugel & other beers on tap – Sauerkraut balls, brats & more!

Peabody Fall Festival
October 1 | Peabody
Peabody Fall Festival is a community event that takes place in Peabody, KS on the 1st Saturday in October each year. The event includes a horseshoe tournament, dog show, disc golf, wiffle ball, washers tournament and more.

Woofstock

Gather with thousands of fellow pet owners and animal enthusiasts for Kansas Humane Society’s fundraising event and festival “Woofstock”, which has become one of the largest events of its kind in the midwest. Participate in the Woof Walk & Breakfast, listen to live music from Dangie Music & Tequila Ridge, compete in stage contests, hang out at the beer garden, shop at vendor booths, and chow down at the food trucks. Derby Chamber Chili Cook Off

Join the Derby Chamber for a Chili Cook-Off where local Chamber member businesses will make their best chili and compete for your votes! Competitors will go all out to try to earn your vote for best chili and best business spirit!

Frederick Remington Fall Festival

OZtoberfest 2022

Wichita Wagonmasters Downtown Chili Cook-off

Since the return to Douglas Avenue the crowds have responded in great numbers. And, the best part…the weather doesn’t matter! Hot, mild or even cold, it’s chili weather! We expect the crowd to be over 9,000 strong and all of them eager to taste some of the best chili in the Midwest!

Taste of Newton

Taste of Newton is THE premier Chamber event of the year – drawing thousands to downtown Newton to enjoy the many flavors that our community has to offer. That’s right! The event is all about food. Food trucks, local non-profits, and other food vendors are invited downtown for the evening to serve a variety of different treats that the community can enjoy.

Bethel College Fall Festival
October 6-9 | Bethel College
For more than 50 years, Bethel College has celebrated education, diverse cultural traditions, special foods, fine arts, crafts and friendship at its annual Fall Festival, held each year on an extended weekend in late September or early October. More than 5,000 people come to Newton and the Bethel campus to enjoy an array of activities.

ICT Bloktoberfest

A local block party with traditional Oktoberfest flair. Free to attend; this is a party for everyone.  Free event grounds admission, with plenty to see and do. Tickets are required for BEER FEST Order at: ictbloktoberfest.com. Event includes all-day vendor market, wiener dog races, dad bod contest, pumpkin smash, food trucks, yard games, booze trucks, axe throwing and more.

Rose Hill Fall Festival
October 7-9 | Rose Hill
This year’s lineup will be great, with our Run for the Roses, Car Show, Craft Fair, Parade, RETURNING BBQ Competition, Stadium Events, Cornhole Tournament, Party at the Pond, Community Picnic, Fishing Derby AND so many more events!!

22nd Annual Fall Great Plains Renaissance and Scottish Festival 2022

October 8-9 | Sedgwick County Fair (Cheney, KS)
There’ll be jests and jousts, falconry and fire breathing, damsels and daredevils, bagpipes and belly dancers, singing pirates, The Wichita Highland Games, Celtic music, kings and queens, Vikings and vagabonds, Kansas Authors Pavilion/renaissance in reading, fairies and fairy tales, fantastic artists, the siege engine competition marvelous merchants and much, much more!

Clearwater Fall Festival
October 14-16 | Clearwater
The Clearwater Fall Festival began as a centennial celebration. It has been going on since 1985! They have held a celebration every year except the 2021 covid year. They have since renamed the festival Clearwater Fall Festival. It is a hometown celebration that they are proud to hold every year!

Wichita Asian Festival
October 15 | Century II
The event includes multiple cultural stage performances, food/drink/art vendors (for purchase), and of course the Miss Wichita Asian Festival Scholarship Pageant.

Freestone Fall Festival
October 15 | Freestone
Nies Homes is planning a Fall Festival at Freestone during the Wichita Fall Parade of Homes. The festival will take place on October 15th from 12PM – 5PM at 2307 N Sagebrush St. in Freestone, which is located on 21st St., east of 143rd St. The event is free and open to the public. Our Hard Hat Tour will take festival attendees on a free guided walk through three homes currently under construction. Adding to the fall fun, they’ll have food trucks, photo booths, face painting and a pumpkin patch with a decoration station along with a farmer’s market.

Maple Leaf Festival
October 15-16 | Baldwin City
Celebrate the 65th Annual Maple Leaf Festival in Baldwin City on the third full weekend in October! This festival feels more like a giant neighborhood block party, with over 300 craft exhibits, quilt shows and displays, performing arts, music, unique food items and activities for the family. The Maple Leaf Festival is the biggest fall family event in the area and provides an opportunity for local non-profit organizations to raise funds for the year.

Annual Harvest Festival
October 16 | Harvest Church
Come join Harvest Church for their annual Harvest Festival event directly following service! There will be food – games – bouncy houses and pony rides for kids – and more

Goddard Fall Festival
October 21-23 | Goddard
The Goddard Fall Festival is an annual event held in October each year and includes a carnival, games, vendors, great food and entertainment for all ages. The carnival and some games open Friday evening in Linear Park. The main events kick off with a parade Saturday morning along Main Street where most activities take place. The festival has been a long standing tradition of “festive fun” for the community. We hope you will join us for this year’s festival “Back in the Swing of Things!”.

Haysville Fall Festival
October 21-23 | Haysville
The place where family and fun come together. Event includes a medallion hunt, parade, car show, shows and more.

Arkalalah
October 26-29 | Ark City
Arkalalah is a fall festival that began in 1928 and is held annually during the last full weekend in October in Ark City.

Fall Festival & Craft Fair
October 29 | Holy Cross Lutheran Church
Our Annual FALL FESTIVAL is back! Trunk or Treat, games, kids activities, food live music & a Craft Fair! This FREE community event brings Fall fun to Holy Cross. Kids can get dressed up, play games, make crafts & go from car trunk to car trunk to get candy safely. Parents can shop homemade craft items in our craft fair, enjoy our German band, have lunch by our pond and more.
