A new store specializing in trading card games, vintage game systems, toys. Pokémon, Yugio, Magic the Gathering and lots more recently opened near the food court at Towne West Square at 4600 W. Kellogg Dr. It’s called Oz.
They had a bit of everything when it came to nostalgic fun. I dropped by to check it out and was instantly drawn to the original NES system that had the dual Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt game on a CRT television. That brought some instant memories for me, as that was the favorite Christmas gift I ever received as a child. There were many video games for sale from the Game Boy, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis era and more.
There’s literally something there for people of all ages.
If you’re into the collectible trading cards, they had display cases filled with them.
If you’re looking to do some buy, sell or trade of any vintage collectibles, this is a place to consider.
I’m told Oz opens at 3 p.m. every day, but noticed they were closed one day after 3 p.m. When I dropped by it was after 4 p.m. and others have told me they had better luck stopping by after 4 as well. There’s no signage out front, but the big Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle display is good enough.
