According to the National Restaurant Association, one in three restaurants won’t survive their first year. After doing more research, I wasn’t able to find any statistical data on restaurants that close in the first week because that’s essentially what Señor Burgers did.
The fast food Mexican restaurant serving burgers, subs, breakfast, birria, tacos, tortas; a mix of American and Mexican dishes closed roughly a week after they opened.
They were located at 2959 S. Hillside in the former Azul 21 restaurant space that also previously housed Birrieria La Nieta De Villa and the very original Angry Elephant. Señor Burgers celebrated their grand opening during the first weekend of January. By the next weekend, their Google listing was marked as permanently closed and their social pages were taken down.
No word was given as to why, but the building’s owner did confirm with me that Señor Burgers is no more.
